Plot

In 1913, on the eve of the Great War (1914-1918), strange events occurred in a small Protestant town in northern Germany that gradually took on the character of ritual punishments. The children and adolescents of the school and church choir, led by the teacher, their families, the baron, the director, the doctor, the midwife and the peasants, tell a story that reflects on the origins of Nazism on the eve of the First World War.
