Post-mortem confession of King David, a criminal accustomed to making his victims drug addicts and unable to detach themselves from him. Inspired by a novel by Donald Goines, this is a film that did not deserve the underestimation found on our screens. It is a sort of lucid and 'moral' story that describes the aberrations of a man without any complacency. Violence is present but its representation is never an end in itself. It is a drama that does not exclude action and that recalls "Scarface" and "New Jack City" holding its own.
