The decision taken by the hospitals council board of early releasing the neurotics and depressed, throw Mona 36 and Cathy 30 in the real world, a world which cannot offer them any place to live except a little house, without a roof , situated at the edge of the country , in the Danube Delta. It's Mona's grandparents house, but both of them are dead. Their arrival triggers weird reactions on behalf of the villagers because they have big plans: to sell the village to a very rich man who own a football team and a political party who wants to turn the place into a luxurious resort. Could Mona and Cathy resist to the villagers reactions? Could they find a place to live in this world?

Due to the massive criticism of some Romanian Academy members, who didn't recognize Brancusi's work first, he wanted to leave Romania and sent to prison for 13 years. After he's released the value of Brancusi's work has changed in Romania and now the former security forces him to forge some of Brancusi's works. The third story has at its center a great scholar who lived in Tibet in the XII century. He is the link between sculptor and forger, a link between their destinies

Andrei Blaier's film catches the last days of The Stone Cross a low class brothels area that became some kind of an institution in the landscape of Bucharest before the Communist period, doomed to destruction under the new rules of proletarian morals that the Communists were trying to impose. The idea could be the start of a great film, with the prostitution being seen not so much from its destructive and exploitation perspective, but rather as a form of freedom in a time when the whole society was falling under the rule of propaganda, hypocrisy, and repression. In a world due to fall under tyranny for the coming decades prostitution becomes a metaphor of the old more free way of life.

The film is an adaptation of the well known short story "Miss Christina" by Mircea Eliade.
