After Silvia’s femicide, Yecenia, her cousin, and one of the ñomndaa weavers from the Prairie of Flowers, create a ritual and poetic mourning alongside other weaving women. The ñomndaa women share ancient wisdom about their profession as weavers, rooted in breathtaking myths and the foremothers’ real life experiences. The elders decide that the only way to proceed is to look forward to the future, taking care of the young children left behind after their mother’s murder. Yecenia speaks through the radio, urging her local community to adopt new words, such as femicide, into their local tongue. Through this ritual, threads, dreams, and their craft are collectively woven together as an act of healing and resilience. In Prairie of Flowers, the act of weaving opens up to become an act of resistance in its own right.

The magic and the soul of nature.

Through 12 testimonies, the settlers of a small city tell their experience with a devastating tornado that struck them and devoured everything in its path, leaving a wound that remains capriciously and seeks for healing among so much rubble and lost history.

From found footage and using the natural deterioration, scratches, fungus and noises of the original material, the different layers of sound, music, text and their interaction with the image raise questions about the idea of nation, identity and the passage of time.

In his final years, forgotten muralist Fernando Daza is in the process of creating a new work by the name “Solo el Amor Resucita.” While the artist paints, the limits between poetry, muralism, and geography fade as we are taken on a trip from Chile’s north to its south. Time will the painter’s main issue: at 85 years old, his mind and his heart want to keep creating, but it is his body that will have the last word.

What is heteronormativity, what does it mean for men and women, what is the cultural canon, does culture reflect or does culture construct? We reflect on all this by putting in dialogue ten people who, from different fields of culture, have thought about this.

I went out as soon as I got up and before going to bed, as in a ritual. In 2007, Gonzalo was commissioned by his father to make "La Giulianada", a film about family origins. During the shooting, Gonzalo's vision changed. Mandates, guilt, love and pain are revisited throughout the work.

An audiovisual excavation in the mining area of Gordón (León), in the village of Ciñera, affected by the dismantling of the mining industry and the ways of life associated with it. The project has been conceived as a collective work through local groups, in which the last images of the mine are intermingled with the conversations held between women miners throughout the period 2016-2017. The resulting film adds layers of complexity to an epic reading of the class struggle, while highlighting aspects such as care work or affective components, usually relegated in the conventional narrative about the mine.
