A documentary that portrays solidarity networks in the search for truth and justice in cases of femicides. In addition, a criticism of the actions of the authorities, and the economic and patriarchal culture of Mexico.
On April 9, 2022, a photo of Debanhi Escobar on the highway goes viral. It's her last image before she disappears. Her case reflects the wave of femicides in Monterrey following March 8. Days later, her body is found.
An international trafficking network has been exposed. Several hotels and motels in Monterrey are involved; one of them, the Nueva Castilla Motel, where Debanhi had been found.
"The Network" ultimately exposes the inefficiency of the Nuevo Leon authorities, reveals the existence of legal loopholes in the country, and exposes the weariness of a society willing to burn everything.
